Checking in

Hello to all who visit this blog. Summer is still in situ here in Trenton. Although a few of the mornings have been close to freezing, the leaves are still on the trees and their colour hasn't changed to those wonderful autumn hues of rust and gold that tend to make the coming of winter more bearable.

I now have a new ride.

It's a 2010 Ford Escape. It's the first Ford I have ever owned. The interior looks like it was copied from my old Subaru Forester. Very similar in design so it only took me a few minutes to figure out most of the dashboard widgets and gadgets. So far so good. I think the Scarlet Runner (that's what I named my car) and I are going to get along just fine.

Of course, this means I have to find employment in order to pay it off. I have made some enquiries in that regard and am hopeful that I will hear something soon.

Also expensive, but well worth it in my opinion, is my weight loss through the Dr. Bernstein Diet Clinic. Since June 14th, I have dropped a whopping 49.2 lbs. The in-house doctor says I should reach my goal weight in 5 or 6 months, putting it around March 2012.

In the above photo, I had lost 37 lbs. I'll continue to post as I pass other milestones. I feel good and have a great deal of energy, another reason why I need to work.

I am filling my time by learning new songs. I am currently working on a song by Sara McLachlan called 'Angel'. If all goes well, I will record it and put it on YouTube just for the fun of it and you all can have a look as I'll also post the link right here.

In the meantime, here's hoping all is well in your part of the world. Bye for now.
